2011: A Look Back at a Wonderful Year at Max Daniel!!!!
As 2011 draws to a close, we can’t believe what a busy, amazing, eventful year this has been! We are so excited to look back at 2011 and review all the incredible things that have taken place for us in the Max Daniel family! Between the booming popularity of our new prints, the iconic celebs who have been spotted with our blankets, the charities with whom we’ve collaborated, and all the BEAUTIFUL pictures our fans have shared with us, 2011 is truly a year we will never forget! Lets have a look back at some of our favorite happenings!
Our baby blankets and decadent adult throws have always been adored by celeb moms, and this year has seen our love from the stars grow even more! Celeb tots have been regularly spotted with their Max Daniel blankets in the arms of their celebrity moms, including Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Garner, and Jennifer Lopez. Additionally, Kidman opened a charitable boutique for the Stanford Women’s Cancer Center on Rue La La featuring a number of items handpicked by Kidman herself and included…guess who??? Yes, that’s right, Max Daniel Designs!!! Kidman is one of our biggest celebrity clients, and her beautiful daughters are often seen snuggling with our blankets!
We are also very proud and honored to have been a part of numerous charitable activities, including Bows for Ruby and The Ronald McDonald House. Helping families in need is a cause that is always near and dear to our hearts! Nothing makes us happier than knowing our blankets have brought joy to a little one in need of some extra love and care.
We had some exciting contests, and shopping sprees, including a recent giveaway on EXTRA with Mario Lopez, and KIIS FM, with Ryan Seacrest promoting our fabulous blankets as a holiday must have item! We were also proud to be featured in SO many online blogs and baby publications such as TOTTS magazine, who named Max Daniel as a ‘top find for your little angel’.
This year we were also THRILLED to introduce some of our most exciting and popular new patterns ever! We love input from our wonderful customers, and we have heard unbelievable feedback about these new designs! Thank you for welcoming the newest members of the Max Daniel Family, Blue Giraffe, Hot Pink Jaguar, and Pink Giraffe, which was the winner of the coveted Iparent Media Award!
It’s been an unforgettable year, and many thanks to you, our loyal fans, for helping to spread the word about our wonderful blankets. We cannot wait for all the exciting things coming up in 2012! Thanksgiving is here! Like other families at this time of year, we are terribly excited to gather together and share stories, laugh, and of course eat delicious treats! While preparing, making arrangements, and enjoying the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend, we thought of the many things in life we are thankful for – of course we are thankful for our Max Daniel family, including all our employee, fans, and followers who love our blankets AND share those joyful pictures of their little ones with us! We are never more thankful for the place we have in your hearts and homes than when we receive pictures of your precious sons and daughters enjoying their Max Daniel Blankets! We put so much love into our work, and we hope that you are all able to feel that love through every warm snuggle you have with our famous throws! More than anything, being a part of your family’s memories is something we hold very near and dear.
In the midst of our planning, scheduling, shopping and chopping in preparation for the big day on Thursday and the end of this year (and for the upcoming release of our two newest prints!!) we were also able to reflect on the historical impact this special day in history truly had on us personally. This holiday is famous for its message of peace and goodwill, and history shows us that Indians traded their warm, cozy, thick blankets with the Pilgrims as a sign of friendship and comraderie. And while the look and texture of blankets has certainly evolved over the subsequent centuries, the intent is still the same: from our hearts to yours, every stitch of our snuggly blankets is made with kind intentions and a message of warmth to you and your little ones from us!
This Thanksgiving, we want to express just how grateful we are for all our fans and friends who are constantly showing us how much their Max Daniel Blankets mean to their families. We have seen your children laugh, grow, cuddle, and slumber, all with our blankets in tow – but even more, we are thankful that YOU are all also falling in love with Max Daniel Adult Throws! As the chilly months truly set in upon us, hearing the glowing reviews from our fans about just how essential our warm, snuggle blankets are to your own holiday comfort brings us all the satisfaction we need.
What’s more is that this month, on top of everything we are thankful for, we are simply bursting to share our TWO new prints with you!! Halloween is finally upon us, and we couldn’t be more excited (do you like our spooooky Jack o’Lanterns??…)! October is always one of our favorite times of year, with the treats, and changing leaves, and turning weather, and costume planning too! Celebrity Fitness Trainer Kim Lyons Spotted with a Max Daniel Blanket!
Best known for her long-running appearance on the NBC hit “The Biggest Loser”, celebrity fitness trainer Kim Lyons was recently spotted in Hermosa Beach with her little son Jake in tow and…of course…his brand new Max Daniel blanket! Lyons reported that, despite the almost 90 degree temperature, Jake eagerly snatched the blanket out of its bag, cuddled with it moments later in his car seat, and proceeded to peacefully fall asleep!

At Max Daniel, we are proud every day that our blankets are able to bring warmth, happiness, and a smile to the faces of the children who love them! But even beyond this, Max Daniel always welcomes the chance to use our famous blankets to benefit a worthy cause. Next month, in partnership with the Ronald McDonald House, AT&T will be holding its 2nd Annual Customer Appreciaton Gala at the famous charity’s Los Angeles location. For over thirty years, the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House has been providing support to families of critically ill children, and Max Daniel is proud and honored to be donating a Pink Giraffe set to this amazing cause.
This year’s appreciation event is another crucial way to help raise the funds to ensure that the Ronald McDonald House continues providing families with a “home-away-from-home” in their greatest time of need. We hope that the event is a great success, and that our donation is able to help the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House achieve it’s goals!

Max Daniel Supports “Bows for Ruby”
We at Max Daniel are constantly inspired by the stories and pictures we receive from loyal fans whose precious children love our blankets. But we were also recently so touched by a very special cause that came to our attention called Bows for Ruby. The facebook fundraiser page “Bows for Ruby” was created by Jennifer Romero in Huntington Beach, CA in an effort to use her own custom hair and bow-tie business to help close friends Matt and Ani Taylor pay for the hefty medical bills their baby girl, Ruby Jane, incurred during her fight against liver failure. Little did Jennifer know how just how fast or far the name Ruby Jane would spread, and today the cause has literally thousands of followers who have been touched by this beautiful story.
Tragically, Baby Ruby lost her courageous struggle – but the cause lives on in her name. Bows for Ruby is currently holding an auction, and Max Daniel was honored to donate a new Pink Giraffe Baby Throw to support the growing effort to assist the Taylor family.
